On September 26, 2019, The Bureau of Economic Analysis released its final estimate for second quarter US GDP annual growth. The rate is 2.0%, down from 3.1% in the first quarter. The Personal Consumption price index increased at an annual rate of 2.4% in the quarter, compared to an increase of 0.4% in the first quarter. The core (excluding food and energy) price index rose 1.9% compared to an increase of 1.1% in the first quarter.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s GDPNow model is forecasting an annual GDP growth rate of 1.9% for the September quarter.
