On July 15, 2025, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the CPI data for the month of June. The CPI rose by 0.3% in June, after rising 0.1% in May. Over the past 12 months, the CPI has increased by 2.7%, the highest 12-month figure since the 2.8% rise over the year ending in February 2025.
The Core Index, excluding food and energy, rose 0.2% in June, following an increase of 0.1% in May. Over the past 12 months, the Core Index rose by 2.9%, after rising by 2.8% in each of the three previous months.
Energy prices decreased by 0.8% over the past 12 months, while food prices rose 3.0% during that period.
The next CPI Report will be issued on August 12, 2025.
