Consumer Price Index For March Decreased 0.1%

On April 10, 2025, the Bureau of Labor Statistics issued its CPI report for March 2025. The Index fell by 0.1% in March, after rising by 0.2% in February. Over the past 12 months, the CPI rose 2.4%.

The Core rate, excluding food and energy, rose 0.1% in March, after rising 0.2% in February. The year-over-year increase for the Core rate was 2.8%, the lowest since March 2021. Over the past 12 months, the Energy Index has fallen by 3.3% while the Food index has risen by 3.0%.

The next CPI report will be issued on May 13, 2025.
