On July 29, 2026, the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee voted to maintain the Fed Funds range at 3.5-3.75%. The vote was 9-3, with three members voting to raise rates by ¼ point. The public statement was the first issued by Chairman Warsh and was shorter than previous examples issued under former Chairman Powell. The statement did repeat the Fed’s goal of getting inflation back down to 2%.
The next FOMC meeting will be September 19, 2026.
